This year’s award shows were a total showcase of how many female celebs drew inspiration from Spears, but guess what? 

It turns out that even the Queen of Pop herself has a list of ladies she looks up to!

Just when fans thought the award shows this year had become all about showcasing Britney Spears’ fabulous influence, the pop princess dropped a bombshell of her own! She took to her Instagram story to share her ultimate girl crush list, starting with Pamela Lee Anderson, who she calls the “classic babe.” Spears also gushed about Natalie Portman, calling her the “coolest person” she has ever met while strolling around New York with her pup. 

In an adorable nod to Camila Cabello’s goofy charm, Spears confessed that she sometimes wishes she could be just as silly and that Cabello often has her laughing out loud. The Queen of Pop also could not resist adding Kendall Jenner to her list, declaring it almost unlawful for someone to look that stunning. And not to forget about Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore, whom she called “literally gorgeous.”

Although Spears lamented she misses her girls, thankfully, plenty of celebrities certainly did not overlook the Spears fashion tribute.

Britney Spears is that artist whose music is a timeless playlist staple and whose fashion advice keeps getting a stylish encore. Just ask Blake Lively, who is dishing out serious style inspiration. At the New York premiere of It Ends With Us, she channeled major nostalgia by rocking the same vintage Versace gown Spears wore in 2002, complete with sequin flowers and butterflies. And if that was not enough, she also took a page from Spears’ book to bring back the denim-on-denim trend.

Then fans had Tate McRae, who stole the show at the MTV VMAs in a long-sleeved mini dress by Roberto Cavalli, giving a cheeky nod to Spears' iconic navy look from the 2001 VMAs. Not to be outdone, Megan Thee Stallion wowed the crowd with a surprise costume change that paid homage to the singer’s unforgettable ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’ outfit, complete with a giant yellow python draped over her shoulders. So, while Spears might feel a bit distant from her girl gang, the Hollywood squad keeps the Spears' spirit thriving.
