“Every time that Yeezy…” Fans Are Divided as Drake Drops ‘Red Button’ Single With Notable Mentions of Kanye West
The music industry tends to retain full-circle moments. Having witnessed the counter innumerable times, the harmony among credible artists has never gone out of style. Similarly, when the world was awaiting the return of the rapper from Atlanta hailing rumors of prominent collaborators, the industry took a roundabout turn with Drake’s single featuring him. Or, more clearly, the likes of him.
Only recently, the world was counting tweets of announcements from various rappers all along for partnering with Kanye West. However, it appears that the one to take the bids on mentioning Ye first was Drake himself.

In the recording industry, collaborations are hyped up like nothing else. For the fans, prominent artists coming together is an entry point to something of a milestone. Similarly, the rakes of charts also scale up the ladder when an artist mentions big-impact names in their works. Such was also the case for Drake when he mentioned Kanye West in his recent single ‘Red Button’.
RapTV took to x, formerly Twitter, to announce how Drake’s new single has Kanye West’s mention on the records. The alleged line from the single notes, “Every time that Yeezy call the troops, he had my head inflated, thinkin’ we gon’ finally peace it up and get to levitatin’, realize that everything premeditated”. Following the reports, there has been quite the clamor buzzing around the internet since then.
Drake’s release has already racked up the viewers’ buttons on YouTube an hour after its release. Hence, when the reports came by, fans clashed on the Internet, given their respective frontiers.
Fans cannot stop scaling the two big-impact icons, Kanye West and Drake
The world of music may ignite excitement in regards to partnership, but it also has the potential to caress a fire. Kanye West’s possible collaborations were keeping fans on their toes. But, ever since Drake’s single was released, it took just meager moments for the fans to track the lyrics and their underlinings. While for some fans the mention could have been just the right thing, for most of them it turned out to be a clash of singers.
Although the fandom reeks of their influence, it also gives a sneak peek into their former relations. As the clash of GOATS takes up space for the thread, some appreciated Drake’s groundedness for mentioning Ye. But that was not the case for the ones speaking against Ye.

While some clearly took the jibe at Kanye West’s diligence of not mentioning Drake, it also speaks largely of how closely his moves are on tracks. Given both the artists deal with a fandom larger than most, the collision was almost inevitable. However, this clash is not the ending line of the artists’ equation themselves. Therefore, to keep the fan’s rage synonymous with theirs would be undermining the two.
