Coachella 2023 will be missing Kanye West and his songs. One of the biggest festivals in the world also got an equally worthy performer in the form of Ye back in 2011. Before going underground, the artist was known for his larger-than-life performances and collaborations. So when he took over the festival for his performance, it reminded fans of the value of his $3 million album ‘My Beautiful Twisted Fantasy’.

It is a known fact that when Ye does something, it is on a big scale. He is said to have performed at least 25 songs, making it one of the biggest Coachella performances ever. Here is a look at the songs that made it to his performance.

Coachella has seen many performances through the years, but nothing up to Ye’s mark. The entertainer performed at least twenty-five songs during his turn on the stage, seven out of which were from his 2010 album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’. ‘All of the Lights’ was the most notable one, which Rihanna also performed during the Superbowl this year. The album title ‘Dark Fantasy’ was followed by ‘Hell of a Life’, ‘Lost in the World’, ‘Monster’, ‘Power’, and ‘Runaway.’ A very long list of artists was included in the massive collaboration for this album.

The other songs that he performed were from his various albums. ‘Graduation’, ‘Late Registration’, ‘808s & Heartbreak’, and ‘The College Dropout’ made up the rest of the playlist. About 80,000 people came together to watch Ye pull off one of his biggest performances. It also showcased selectively chosen background dancers, including ballet dancers. But the making of the entire album was just as amazing as the Coachella festival.

Pusha-T once explained how he almost gave up on the album after being overwhelmed by the ‘madness’ around it.

A look into the making of Ye’s My Beautiful Twisted Dark Fantasy

Ye apparently created a whole area in Hawaii to make the 2010 album. He brought rappers through his jet into the setup, which had studios, basketball courts, and all the luxuries. But Pusha- T felt like there were ‘too many cooks in kitchen’ working on one song. He almost walked out of the album, but now takes pride in telling the stories of its success. West has not returned this way to Coachella again, but fans still have hopes.
