These are the challenges of a music industry power couple, few survive, most do not

Such is how the assessment of the strongest to the least compatible couple is being, or has been made throughout the existence of the music industry. What breaks and what builds our power couple? Let us see what we have had in store up until today:

With uncountable co-tracks under their belts, Beyoncé  and Jay-Z have been the ultimate picture-esque Music couple of the 2000's. From Grammy opening done together to winning award shows for the Best R&B Performances, the duo have pulled through thick and thin to remain where they are today, even after 20 long years. A testament to the blossoming of the most unthinkable connections, the two parallel running world of rock and country fading together to give the spectators the most endearing couple ever. Having met in 2014 for the first time and having been occupied at the time with their then partners whom they eventually separated from, leaving the two to get together with no obstacle in place. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have remained as coaches at the TV show The Voice. And having finally married in 2021, the music couple have worked on duets like 'Happy Anywhere', 'Break My Heart', 'Purple Irises', 'Nobody But You' and whatnot. 

Having been married since 1996 and now having known each other in the many facets of professional, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have also worked on several tracks specifically showcasing their beautiful respect and understanding of each other; 'Its Your Love, 'The Rest of Our Life', 'Like We Never Loved At All.'

Considered to be one of the most iconic cases of pop star crossing, John Lenon and Yoko Ono's relationship was one marked with artistic collaboration, activism and enduring love. It began in 1966 when Lennon visited Ono's art exhibit at Indica Gallery in London, sparking a series of creative collaborations that followed, from 'Unfinished Music No. 1: Two Virgins' to their final collaborative album, 'Milk and Honey'.

Although the couple had throttled into the scene with total fervor, their love did not last as long as those before them. Sonny Bono and Cher of the 60s, having spent over a decade together, they had released albums titled 'Look At Us', 'Sonny & Cher Live' and 'All I Ever Need Is You', all under their unified stage names, Sonny&Cher, becoming one of the most popular couple acts of their time, the golden duo, if you may. The couple had separated and gone their own ways further in their lives, after their divorce in 1975.

From 2012 to 2015, this couple had been a powerhouse, two forced experience immense success in their own times sharing it through their love, Perry and Myers had and during their final year together, released the song 'Who You Love', capsuled withing a music video as well. But as time and life demanding, the couple had gone their separate paths. Myers had later also expressed how his relationship with Perry had had immense affect on his life thereafter when he talked bout his 2017 track, 'Still Feel Like Your Man'. Katy Perry is often being seen adjusting to her age in a comic manner in recent days. 

From 'I Know What You Did Last Summer', off of Shawn Mendes' debut album in 2015, to 'Senorita' in 2019, Cabello and Mendes marked the end of an era when they parted ways some time after their single release that they had had a music video made to as well. While their relationship would seem to go on an off here and there, the two have provided to the music industry some of its most cherished couple collaborations in terms of music and fashion.

The audience patiently waits, watches and waits all over again for their most favorite collaborations to overwhelm them and as couples like Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco continue to brew up magic, no note is to high for these musical couples to conquer.
