Sabrina Carpenter just touched down at Melbourne Airport on Thursday holding a stuffed soft toy koala, which was given to her as a gift by fans. And in return, the singer and actress promised to perform her best on the Eras Tour shows. This commitment is paramount, especially since this night will see nearly 100,000 people crowding at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This would really put the Melbourne show on the radar as one of the biggest hitters of the entire Eras Tour.
Taylor Swift’s biggest show on the tour so far was in Pittsburgh, with 73,117 people. However, it seems like she will smash her own record in Australia. The MCG, where she will be taking the stage on February 16th, 17th, and 18th, could have 260,000 fans over three nights – which means that the ‘Red’ creator will perform for an average of 86,000 per night (nearly 100,000)! It is only the second month of the year, and Swift is already on track to break a second record, that she set herself.
The first one, this year, was her recent milestone on the Billboard charts, where she outdid her own record.

Taylor Swift rolled out the revamped edition of ‘1989’ last year, back in October. However, merely within the first month of 2024, the album secured significant recognition on the Billboard charts. According to the charts, Taylor Swift claimed an impressive 70% i.e. 7 out of the top 10 spots on the Top Album Sales chart, for the second time in a month.
With 11 number-one hits, 49 top-10 hits, and 232 songs on Billboard, Swift became the only woman and the only living artist to accomplish such a feat. She also stood out as the only artist in the past six decades to have four albums in the Top 10 charts at the same time. With her heart set on her music, there is no stopping her from achieving even greater heights, especially as the Eras Tour kicks back into gear.
