“Drizzy isn't gonna..”: Fans Go into a Frenzy as LeBron James Sides With Kendrick Lamar Instead Amidst Beef
Ever since the Kendrick Lamar-Drake beef unearthed, big-impact artists beyond the circle of the feud have frequently landed amidst the confrontations, each picking a side they prefer. Interestingly, even Drake’s initiation into this conflict was on the coattails of J. Cole, which, in time, shifted focus and was confined to Lamar and the former instead. However, amidst the buzz and chaos, it seems that the esteemed NBA player LeBron James has chosen the Californian rapper instead and fans nearly cannot get enough of it.
The Kendrick Lamar-Drake is no longer a musical feud as prominent figures from every faction seem to have decided on a position. The latest being, LeBron James, as the player was spotted flexing some grooves to Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ in a nightclub in LA on Thursday in a clip initially posted by actress Yvonne Orji on her Instagram stories. ‘Not Like Us’ marks the latest entry by K-Dot in the series of back-and-forth blows that has given birth to multiple diss tracks.

Arguably the most popular and fastest track to have made a stay on every playlist, ‘Not Like Us’ is currently both a chart-topper and a fan favorite. Although it did ignite some controversies with allegations of Lamar's thieving fans’ tweets for his track, its reach among enthusiasts has been undeniable. It is noteworthy that James did not publicly endorse an allegiance. However, he did acknowledge the battle when Drake dropped ‘Push Ups’.
For fans, however, his matching the footsteps to Lamar’s latest hit is equivalent to committing to a camp and as a result, the frenzy was inevitable.
Fans cannot get over LeBron James’ moves to Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss track
The rap arena is firing every day and with LeBron James presumably picking one side, fans seem to be losing it even more. Bearing in mind how Drake and the Lakers’ star have been allies for over 15 years since the latter attended Drizzy’s release party for the 2009 mixtape, ‘So Far Gone’, this assumed switch got fans taking a jab at the ‘Push Ups’ rapper. Drake even gave a shout-out to the former Cleveland Cavaliers player in his 2013 track ‘5 AM Toronto’. Hence, fans seem convinced that the Canadian rapper is not gonna “like this”.
Most fans on the thread were baffled by the hilarity of the situation, and the majority of the quips were directed to Drake instead of Lamar.

It should be noted, however, that what is being speculated as James’ selection of a faction could be just his appreciation for the artistry. The reason why this point is a highlight is that when he first acknowledged the feud, he termed Lamar and Drake as “2 heavyweights”. Hence, even when the assumption cues James’ taking a side, it is perhaps not so black and white. Nevertheless, it seems fans have found the thread equally convincing otherwise, while the humor blows have landed on Drake’s doorsteps.
