Already halfway into the latter half of the year, the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, contrary to popular belief, has still carried on with the fervor of a battalion horse. Where exactly Kendrick Lamar first struck the match to light, this particular bonfire remains hazy but one thing is for certain: he has been lobbing hit after hit, and they are landing right in Drake’s front yard. Drake has adopted silence, though whether it was due to a loss for words or simple exhaustion from keeping up with Lamar's lyrical barbs is anyone's guess. However, his longtime ally Akademiks has come through for him.

Taking on one of the most hefty allegations levied on Drake, the longtime ally of the Spotify chart topper, did his own investigation to prove Kendrick Lamar fans wrong.

While the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef this year did not entail the two coming face to face with each other, Lamar's allegations, which if true would require federal interference, were no less than a punch in Drake's gut. One crucial charge that was levied against him was that Adonis Graham was not his only son and that he had more 'baby moms'. With Drake remaining mum, Akademiks took matters in his own hands to reveal how the other woman that fans were alleging was associated with Drake had been in his DMs requesting a meetup with him.

The podcaster went on to point out how it was impossible for him to father her child based on the screen grab of the text messages he had put up on his Instagram. Whether Akademiks deep dive into this Drake fan will help in diminishing the fire remains unclear, but it is not the first justification to come from Drake's side.

Earlier in the year as Kendrick Lamar fired shots at Drake and Drake too did not hesitate before releasing a diss track, fans were ready to see an intense showdown. However, as soon as the second round of shots were fired by Lamar, Drake took on to clearing up his name instead of firing back at the rapper, ultimately giving more weight to the 'HUMBLE.' singer's allegations.

Despite his legacy in the industry and supreme reign on Spotify charts, following Kendrick Lamar's hit tracks, Drake has kept to himself with some of his industry friends such as Camila Cabello occasionally standing up for him. Now, with Kendrick Lamar possibly releasing new music, it remains to be seen if they will drag the singer out of his burrow.
