From losing one of the biggest diss wars and leaving his reputation in tatters to blowing a fortune on sports bets, 2024 is a year from hell for Drake. His streak of bad luck has been clinging to him ever since he decided to lock horns with Kendrick Lamar. Not only did he mostly make himself look bad in the war, but he also lost a big chunk of his fanbase, who are now questioning if the Canadian is running on empty when it comes to making good music. Amid this, Drake dropped his latest collaborative track with rapper Latto.

Instead of pulling him out of the mire in the hip-hop world, however, 'Housekeeping Knows' only sank him deeper into the hole.  

Drake dropped the collaborative track 'Housekeeping Knows,' along with two other tracks- a solo 'Blue Green Red,' and 'It’s Up' featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage. 'Housekeeping Knows' openly discussed Drake's personal life, while Latto's punchy verse was laced with innuendos. Despite the high-energy collaboration, 'Housekeeping Knows' ended up being Drake’s first-ever track to debut with fewer than 1 million streams on Spotify, and many fans are blaming the Latto hate train for it.

Latto has not only faced criticism from fans but may also have caught some shots from rapper Nicki Minaj. Last year, she also came under fire after some alleged old tweets of hers, filled with derogatory and stereotypical comments, resurfaced. Given Latto's polarizing reputation and Drake's recent controversies, it is not so surprising that 'Housekeeping Knows' has hit a new low for first-week statistics in Drake’s discography. Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar has hit a new high with his diss track aimed at Drake.

Lamar's 'Not Like Us,' the track responsible for destroying Drake in the feud, surpassed the legendary Tupac Shakur's popular track. 

Kendrick Lamar’s admiration for Tupac Shakur has always been very evident. The Pulitzer Prize winner has never missed a chance to pay tribute to the late Shakur through his music. And therefore, surpassing the icon he has idolized his entire life is the biggest feat Lamar could have hoped for. Thanks to the fiery diss track ‘Not Like Us,’ Lamar has recently surpassed Tupac Shakur’s ‘Hit Em Up' as the most-streamed diss track of all time, all in just three months.

'Not Like Us’ was the final blow that led Drake to drop his last track in the feud and bow out. The track also set a record as the fastest rap song to hit 500 million streams on Spotify, blowing past Drake’s previous record with ‘God's Plan.’ With not even one percent of that colossal streaming number, Drake’s Spotify numbers for 'Housekeeping Knows' are nothing but loud alarm bells.
