Drake is already way ahead of his competing rappers, but the entertainer is pretty much dominating the industry now. The rapper, who is considered Kanye West’s friend and foe, seems to have outshined him with his latest achievement. His latest milestone comes along with the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop. Other than record sales, there are other factors that decide how good a musician is. Hits on music apps, the entity’s trend on social media, and favorability come into the picture as well.

Fans also get involved as each tries to upsell their favorite rapper. Polls and list results often declare a clear winner, sometimes topping a long-running rapper, or him getting tossed by a newbie. But the ‘Hot Line Bling’ singer has managed to prove his domination through the latest list, just a day after grooving to Ye’s music.

Other rappers aside, there has been a close fight between Kanye West and Drake to see who dominates the charts. The clear winner, at least for Spotify’s list, is the Canadian artist. The list was for 50 Most Streamed Hip Hop Albums, with eight of Drake’s albums making the entry. His rank began with the number 2 spot for his 2018 ‘Scorpion’ album as XXXTentacion beat him on the number one spot for the album ‘?’ released in the same year.

Travis Scott sat on number 5 with his world-renowned ‘Astroworld’, with Drake taking another spot at number 9 for ‘More Life’. Kanye West entered the list with a number 18 spot for ‘Life of Pablo’ and then number 20 for ‘Graduation’. Both of the albums were released during his early years.

One point to consider for Drake’s success is also his active participation and album releases. Ye, on the other hand, had taken time off from his work as he went underground. But the former does not shy away from appreciating the latter’s music.

Drake and Ye’s relationship has been a source of discussion, memes, and more for both personal and professional rivalry. Just a day before, the 36-year-old was seen grooving to Ye’s song ‘Through the Wire’.

Despite taking jibes at each other from time to time, they certainly respect each other’s talent. In fact, Drake even wanted to be part of Ye’s Jeen-Yuhs documentary. Now that West is back to making music again, perhaps there will be a change to that list in the future.
