Donald Trump’s Ambitions Equal a Taylor Swift-Esque Impact Over Pennsylvania, Claims State Senator
It all started back in 2018 when Taylor Swift first decided to get political. The pop star made her first big public endorsement for Tennessee Democrats Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper for the Senate and House of Representatives that year. Since then, she has shown just how much pull she has in America’s political scene, even without a direct connection to the game. From the start of this year's campaign, Taylor Swift’s name has been on everyone’s lips, but things really began heating up after she backed Kamala Harris with a public statement.
Swift’s endorsement of the Democratic Party led to a bunch of hate speech from the opposing party leader, Donald Trump. But now it seems, the former president has pulled a Taylor Swift himself amid the election season.

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman recently sat down for an interview with the New York Times, where he talked about Donald Trump's impact on the state. He pointed out the Trump superstores that have popped up all over the state, selling T-shirts, bumper stickers, hats, and other merchandise as clear signs of the former president’s widespread influence among fans. He even likened the excitement around Trump to the kind that follows Taylor Swift everywhere, saying, “It was almost like Taylor Swift kind of swag.”
Fetterman said that Elon Musk’s endorsement of Trump was a major turning point for him in this election. However, he also mentioned that while he can see the strong passion people have for Trump, he does not necessarily “admire” it. Even with Trump’s support in Pennsylvania, the politician has been facing a lot of criticism due to his remarks about celebrities who are not backing him- the latest being Beyoncé.
Donald Trump recently took multiple digs at Beyoncé as she attended Kamala Harris’ rally, making her political views very clear.

With less than a week to go before the US election, Donald Trump decided to pick a bone with Beyoncé, after his social media attacks on Taylor Swift. At a rally in Green Bay on Wednesday, he claimed that when Beyoncé showed her support for Kamala Harris at the Houston event, she did not perform. Disappointed that Harris's event did not feature her performance, the crowd ended up booing the duo.
TMZ, however, quickly dismissed Trump’s claim of any booing seen at the Houston rally. This came right after he took a not-so-subtle shot at Beyoncé for backing Harris at the rally, and got trolled for it too. While it is clear that Trump is not happy about pop stars like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé siding with Harris, it is yet to be seen whether this will hurt his chances in the presidential race.
