When Nike was catching celebrities like Pokemons with Drake, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar already under its belt, Travis Scott joined forces with the company to put out Air Force 1, which to this day remains iconic. However, the reason behind why he became the 1st choice of sneaker fanatics at The Complex Sneakers Show, was the consistency with which he has been dropping quality models.

A big move that helped the artist establish dominance in the sneakers arena was his signature model, famously known as 'Jordan Jumpman Jack TR'. The retail price of the model is a savory $200, and it is evidently garnered the winning numbers this year through its sale. Long before the Sneakers arena started buzzing with celebrities, especially rappers, Ye had already done his due at Nike and left in 2013. It was not until much later that Travis Scott even became the multi-million dollar artist that he is now. Therefore, by the time Scott secured a deal with Nike, Ye was already on his way to secure billionaire status with Adidas.

Fast forward to 2024 even as Ye has lost every mega brand that he worked hard to affiliate with in the first place while Travis Scott and his Nike collaboration stand as one of the biggest players in this game. Despite the ups and downs, the two artists share a very wholesome trainee and mentee relationship and even gave the rap world one of its best on-stage moments, as Scott brought Ye on stage this year, setting the stones for his grand comeback.
