Did Ye Use AI Vocals In 'Vultures 2'? Fans Call Out the Rapper In Jarring Reviews Post Album Drop

The long-awaited ‘Vultures 2’ finally dropped early this Saturday morning. Apart from the leading duo, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and Ty Dolla $ign, the album saw many other collaborators, including Future, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Kodak Black, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, and more. However, despite having such popular names in its credits, it seems Ye had to call in some artificial intelligence reinforcements, or so the internet alleged recently.

Ever since ‘Vultures 2’ dropped, the internet’s reaction to it has been quite mixed. While some crowned it as Ye's musical ressurection, others called it mediocre, and some outright claimed it was tainted by AI. Many fans accused Ye of using AI vocals in some of his tracks from the album, including ‘SKY CITY’ and ‘FIELD TRIP.’ Fans claimed that the tracks sounded as if Ty Dolla $ign’s raw vocals were dubbed over by Ye’s voice using AI.

Along with the AI controversy, Ye was also accused of sampling songs without permission yet again. Geoff Barrow accused the ‘Donda’ rapper of unethically sampling the track 'FIELD TRIP' from his band Portishead’s 'Machine Gun' with a tweet, writing, “FFS Not Again.” The album that fans had been eagerly waiting for turned out to be a letdown for many.

Ye faces backlash for allegedly using AI vocals in ‘Vultures 2’

Ye has been accused of incorporating AI in the first volume of ‘Vultures’ as well, which raised many questions about the future of art in the digital age. He even shared an AI-generated music video for the audiovisual trailer for their collaboration, crediting Canadian visual artist Jon Rafman. While the trailer for 'Vultures 1' did wow fans with its unique blend of various horror-themed visuals in a morphing style, this time around, the rapper has drawn criticism for allegedly infiltrating his album with AI-generated vocals.

Fans’ fears of Ye losing his artistic flair and relevance grew even more after the AI allegations.

Despite the controversies, Ye’s latest release has already topped the US Billboard 200 and US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album charts, making it the twelfth consecutive album of the ‘College Dropout’ artist to do so. ‘Vultures 2’ is still being updated, as Ye himself announced on his YZY website, leaving the door open for corrections to silence the critics.
