Did Kendrick Lamar Really Put Out the Best Diss Track? Billboard Disagrees
The next best thing to a Game of Thrones battle that would have people equally intrigued and ready to throw hands is undoubtedly a rap battle where lyrical swords are drawn and egos clash in an epic showdown. Especially if said rap battle has two of the biggest names in Hip-Hop at the helm of affairs, the ante is not just going to up but out of the roof as well. While all fingers may point to Drake and Kendrick Lamar in this case, Billboard has a different opinion.
Taking the 'not like other girls' syndrome up a notch, Billboard has put forth its unique yet statistically apt list of the Most Scathing Hip-Hop Diss Songs of All Time.

Despite the scale of the fanbases and the personalities involved, after Kendrick Lamar dropped his diss track, fans had no qualms in declaring him the winner of the Drake-Lamar beef. However, as Billboard digs into its archives to drop a list of the Most Scathing Hip-Hop Diss Songs of All Time, Kendrick Lamar acquires the 5th spot with his 'meet the grahams.' Contrary to expecting to see 'euphoria' on top and losing the top spot even with 'meet the grahams', it is pretty clear who the 'biggest hater' is.
Not only Lamar, but Drizzy's 'Family Matters' also acquired the 7th spot. The music magazine crowned 'Hit 'Em Up' by 2Pac as the best diss track and rightfully so because the track had fired shots at almost every known rapper at that point in time. This was followed by 'The Story of Adion', 'Supa Ugly', and 'No Vaseline.'
While his fans say otherwise, this snub by Billboard is not all that Kendrick Lamar will have to put up with, as Drake has added fuel to the fire, albeit silently.

In the rap feud that engulfed everyone, as Drake started defending himself against the allegations that Kendrick Lamar imposed on him instead of rapping fire, it was clear who was the winner. However, it seems like Drake is more of a silent player, as he has surpassed 99 billion streams on Spotify across all credits, to become the most streamed artist of all time.
Given how Lamar did away with copyright limitations, allowing ample flexibility to use his song, one would think there was no way to top him. However, Drake has done the unthinkable in this case. Now, he just needs less than one billion streams to become the first artist to make it to 100 billion streams. Perhaps Kendrick Lamar did not hate hard enough.
