Did Kanye West Finally Perform In a Festival After Dropping Out of Coachella in 2022?
For the last decade, Kanye West was known for his creativity and insane performances. However, his controversial takes and behavior seemed to put a stop to that. While the rapper has finally made his musical comeback with ‘Vultures 1′ and various listening parties since last year, fans have been hoping for a live performance. Surprisingly for them, the Yeezy creator made an appearance at a festival recently.
Although Ye was spotted at the venue near Los Angeles’ SoFi stadium, the question remained; did the father of four finally perform for the first time since he bailed on his Coachella performance in 2022?

A few weeks ago, it was reported that Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign could be headlining the Rolling Loud festival. While the rapper chose not to confirm it, various posts on X (formerly Twitter) proved his presence at the music festival. The artist and his collaborator opened the 2024 edition of the event by taking the stage. However, instead of performing tracks from ‘Vultures 1’ live, they gave fans another listening party.
Although some fans were excited to check out the album with West, others seemed rather let down by confusion. With the 46-year-old keeping his energy to a minimum, the set turned out to be a disappointment. The ‘Good Morning’ artist could be seen wearing black jeans with a leathery-looking jacket. He even added some black boots but chose to go maskless to complete his look.
While festival-goers were outraged about West’s rather low-energy performance, the rapper and Ty Dolla $ign ended up defending their controversial performance.

Now again, the rapper has found himself in a sticky situation. After his Rolling Loud appearance turned out to be another listening party for his ‘Vultures 1’ album, the 46-year-old stated on Big Boy TV why he preferred performing without a mic.

West claimed that he believed, “People just came for the experience.” While he might be right to be focusing on what he was creating for his fans, the father of four also added that his listening parties were “still better than other people shows that have a mic.”
