Music producer and rapper, Erick Sermon, laid bare a massive update when he revealed working with Kanye West on a yet-unannounced solo album even before ‘Vultures’. Speaking on The Bootleg Kev Podcast, the musician announced that he had started working with the ‘Donda’ singer as early as May 30th, 2023 on a solo album simply labeled as ‘Y3’. He further went on to clarify that during that time, there happened to be no discussion of collaboration.
Interestingly, when Sermon returned to West, Ty Dolla $ign had already worked up one of his songs into ‘Vultures’. Breaking the timeline, it appears that Kanye West worked on his idea on a mega-collaboration sometime during his shift to Italy from Japan, close on the heels of Travis Scott’s first ‘Utopia’ concert. As a shining light, Sermon also added that “hopefully when this is done, we get back to the ‘Y3’”.
The news came as fans still await the drop of the rapper’s promised album, which should have followed the most recent listening party.

Wearing Jason Voorhees hockey masks, the rapper threw the fandom into a meltdown as he took the stage. The group performed upcoming hits including ‘Burn’, ‘Paperwork’, ‘Everybody’, and others from the mega-compilation as the crowd swayed in unison.
