Over the past 8 to 9 months, despite having traveled the extra mile with his numerous trips to the Middle East, creation of a makeshift studio, organization of several listening parties, and engaging a lineup of high-profile collaborators, the musical renaissance promised by Ye, formerly Kanye West, still feels distant. Amidst this complex situation, fans were recently presented with an unexpected solo album tracklist curated by the rapper, which, so far, appears to be outside the 'Vultures' series.

GoodAssSub recently took to X to reveal a 2023 solo album tracklist created by the ‘Donda’ rapper, West, featuring 12 previously unreleased tracks. The list, reportedly made public by Luit on Reddit, includes the following tracks: 'So Soon', 'Unlock', 'Happy', 'Ceremony Freestyle (Problematic)', 'Hood Rat', 'Paperwork', 'Street Lights', 'Love Love Love', 'All In Love', 'Bobby Digital', 'Matthew', and 'Big Boody X River'.

The absence of ‘Vultures 2’ had long raised questions about the rapper’s priorities, but with this new tracklist, fans are now uncertain whether this album will ever see the light of the day or face a fate similar to ‘Vultures 2’. Moreover, following his disclosure to Rich the Kid about quitting "professional music," the likelihood of the solo record's release seems as slim as that of ‘Vultures 2’, despite fans’ nostalgia and excitement in reliving its memories through listening.

While the tracklist initially had fans eagerly anticipating its contents, what further heightened the curiosity was the inclusion of the songs titled ‘Street Lights’ and 'Happy', leading fans to speculate if there were any such plans for a remake.

Fans of Ye urge for specific tracks from the unreleased solo album

Ye may have fallen short of his promises upon his return to the musical scene, but recent updates have been even more unsettling. His announcement of retirement has shocked the world, casting serious doubt on the release of ‘Vultures 2’, let alone a new solo album. Despite this reality, his fans continued to clamor for releases like ‘Matthew’ while others hoped for ‘Happy’.

Many fans raised eyebrows over the track titled ‘Street Lights’ and 'Happy', wondering if Ye had forgotten about his earlier tracks of the same name.

The song ‘Street Lights’ originally appeared on West’s 2008 album ‘808s & Heartbreak’, while 'Happy' was released via his 2022 record 'Donda 2'. 'Street Lights' was not only a fan favorite worldwide but also featured on the soundtrack of a season of the American medical drama series Grey’s Anatomy. Given its success, thus, there remains a question mark on whether Ye intended to remake the tracks or simply breathe new life into them, potentially offering a nostalgic journey for listeners.
