A recent Echelon Insights poll has revealed Taylor Swift as a political favorite, coming in as the third most desired presidential nominee in the recent poll. With her immense popularity and influence, this unexpected development didn’t come much as a surprise as it did a delight. It sparked a wave of excitement and speculations among her fans on Twitter. It remains to see whether the ‘Love Story’ pop idol’s popularity will translate into her running as the President, but she sure has knocked Ye down a league. 

Swift’s potential as a presidential nominee reflects her ability to unite people. The respect she garners across different demographics made her an intriguing candidate with significant potential to bring about change. Her ability to use her platform to raise awareness and effect positive change has endeared her to a diverse audience among the youth and the old alike. And with this, there is no doubt that 7% Americans want to see her as the President.

While the Yeezy founder has made attempts to run for the presidential post in the past, he might get a run by others this time if he plans to do so.

Will Kanye West run for the 2024 Presidential elections?

Kanye West previously ran for the White House in 2020 but failed at the campaigns. With several controversies surrounding his active campaigning, the run proved to be a flop for the ‘Donda’ singer. Ye ran a late announcement that prevented him from appearing on the ballot in several states. Despite his claim to have approached Donald Trump as a potential running mate, receiving a mere 70,000 votes. His aspirations were met with mixed reactions. 

Ye has expressed intentions to run in the 2024 presidential election in the past, but he has yet not filed an official candidacy. With the rapper’s current focus on his music and building Yeezy amidst all the legal battles, there might be a chance that he does not declare his candidature for next year’s elections.
