Despite DSP Warfare, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Vultures’ Reign at Zenith at the US Albums Chart
After a tedious round of dilly-dallying when Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Vultures’ dropped this February, the assumption was that the storm was over. However, what the world mistook for hours of respite was only the calm before the storm. Soon after the album debut, the artists began struggling back and forth to keep their album available on streaming platforms, ultimately unleashing a full-fledged face-off with the DSP. However, even with obstacles and hurdles making it difficult for the album to obtain extensive exposure, ‘Vultures’ has managed to soar to the US albums chart for the top spot.
Phoenix-like rise from ashes has always been a thing of West. And with his joining hands with $ign, the trait might have even been contagious.

If 18 months of hiatus could not nudge Kanye West fans from looking out for him, what good is a DSP battle? Well, none given West came up with the Yeezy-est solution ever. Shortly following that, the outcome came out in numbers to cue at the collaborator’s exclusive win on the US albums chart via Hits Double Daily with 153,000 album sales after its release. As a result, ‘Vultures’ is currently at the apex of the chart.
Less than a week after the album’s availability converged with several backtracking impositions, the album is also expected to debut at the top spot for the Billboard 200 albums chart. Achieving this feat after the album’s disappearance from Apple Music and initial hold-off with Spotify is definitely no cakewalk. And since the latest issues with distribution almost made a case for the album’s bottom-line sales, this win is a punch back to all the troubles.
To get an upper hand over his troubles, Ye just weaponized the weapons pointed at him. However, the genius hacks do not end here as West plans to accelerate the sales even more with yet another plan.
Kanye West schedules back-to-back listening parties
Listening experiences have always been unique to West’s after-drop take-ups. And when the December rave itself made space for ‘Vultures’ on several playlists, how can the ultimate launch miss out on an after-party? Hence, only recently a list has surfaced on the internet with two consecutive listening parties scheduled for February 22nd and 24th.

The first rave will supposedly take place at the Milan Forum while the second leans for Bologna Unipol Arena in Italy. Tickets for this “Hi-Fidelity Audio Experience” start at 115 Euros. The event is being hosted by Yeezy and will mark the 5th and 6th listening experience for ‘Vultures’. While the dates look all dreamy, with a red marker tapping busy on the calendar, the probability is that the sales figure will look even dreamier once the full-house show imitates a sold-out album.
