Over the years, Kanye West has become known as one of the most controversial rappers of recent times. While that may have been because of his unsavory opinions and his erratic behavior since his split with Kim Kardashian, it looks like the lyrical genius is now more focused on his music. Although he recently gave his fans the song, ‘Vultures’, he seems to have caught attention with his new track on Spotify called ‘Dear Summer’.

Ye may have once again proved his lyrical prowess, but this time, he took a swipe at a few of his fellow musicians, Drake and a couple of others, too.

For months now, Kanye West has dominated headlines with the promise of a new album with Ty Dolla $ign. While it was set to release back in October, it ran into some unprecedented delays. Thankfully, that did not stop the 46-year-old from sharing some of his hard work with his fans. Just weeks after dropping ‘Vultures’, the ‘Donda’ creator released ‘Dear Summer’. In the song, Ye shadily mentioned Drake, Lil Baby, and even Future.

In the solo track, he said, “You don’t really love Ye, go listen to Drake, b**ch/ You don’t have no idea what it take, b**ch/Listen to Lil Baby, go listen to Future, b**ch.” While the track is a sample from last year, the rapper chose to drop it shortly after the ‘Certified Lover Boy’ artist surprisingly mentioned the world’s biggest pop sensation in his song ‘Red Button’.

As most of the world knows, Kanye West has had an ongoing feud with both Drake and Taylor Swift for years now. From the 2009 VMA incident with the pop sensation to publicly posting the ‘God’s Plan’ artist’s home address online, Ye has messed with both of them. However, recently, the unexpected happened when both his apparent rivals joined forces. It all began when the ‘MIA’ artist released his album, ‘Scary Hours 3’. In the song, the 37-year-old mentioned Taylor Swift with a surprising revelation.

In the song ‘Red Button’, he said, “Taylor Swift the only n**** that I ever rated/ Only one could make me drop an album little later.” Drake also admitted that it was a strategic decision to adjust his timing so his songs could get the appreciation they deserved. In fact, it seems like his plans worked with Spotify’s latest reveal with their 2023 Wrapped.
