Taylor Swift has shattered numerous records with her Eras Tour. Within just eight months, the pop star achieved something other artists can only dream of- bringing in over $1 billion from a single tour. But now it is time for another highly anticipated musical event- Coldplay's 2025 tour. Pre-sale tickets for Coldplay's upcoming tour went on sale Thursday morning, and as per reports, the first batch of dates sold out in a blink-in about 20 minutes. Earlier this year, Taylor Swift became the first solo artist to grace Wembley Stadium in London eight times during a single tour. To commemorate this milestone, Wembley even presented her with a custom guitar. However, that record is about to be broken by Coldplay, who will perform 10 nights at Wembley next summer. The band initially announced a six-night run at the stadium for August.

Due to "phenomenal demand," however, they added four extra shows in September, with an Instagram announcement. Alongside Taylor Swift, they have also surpassed the record held by the English pop group Take That, who previously performed at the stadium eight times. But that is not the only way Coldplay is raising the bar on Taylor Swift.

Throughout their tour, Coldplay is working to cut down on carbon emissions and promote eco-friendly practices. They are making sure their performances run on renewable energy. On the other hand, Taylor Swift is infamous for her high private jet emissions, reportedly the highest of any celebrity. Earlier this year, she faced a lot of criticism for having the most CO2 emissions from flying.

As reported by Newsweek, Swift allegedly produced 138 tons of CO2 emissions in just three months while traveling to see her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. However, she later stated through her publicist with BBC that she uses carbon offsets to balance out her private jet travel. Nonetheless, while the Eras Tour might be the biggest success yet, Coldplay's tour is definitely outshining it in a few areas.
