As Taylor Swift's iconic Eras Tour inches toward its grand finale, fans are already buckling up for the emotional rollercoaster about to hit. Sure, she still has a good chunk of shows left, but the end is creeping closer, and Swifties can feel the storm clouds rolling in. This year has been a dream come true for them, especially with the surprise drop of her 11th studio album and the footprints she left with her success from the existing ones. The album took over the charts like wildfire, but even with all her record-breaking wins, a recent analysis just threw a major curveball, ranking Charli XCX above the pop queen herself.

The analysis is all it took for Swifties to go full-on meltdown mode.

Pitchfork just dropped its list of the Top 100 albums of the decade so far, and guess who is missing from the Top 10? Taylor Swift! Instead, Charli XCX is strutting her stuff at number 7 with her album ‘BRAT,’ leaving Swifties salty, especially since her masterpiece ‘Folklore’ only snagged the number 67 spot. The Top 10 features some heavy hitters, including Fiona Apple, Playboi Carti, Cindy Lee, SZA, Beyoncé, Veeze, Charli XCX, Rosalía, Chuquimamani Condori, and Waxahatchee.

With Swift taking Grammys home like candies and dominating the VMAs this year to make history, this list had her fans doing a double-take. With chart-topping bangers coming out left and right, she was practically a fixture on the charts, leaving little room for the new kids on the block. So, no surprise, this analysis lit a fire under her fanbase. And to add fuel to the fire, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ did not even make the cut, despite being an absolute showstopper.

The outrage was practically rolling out the welcome mat since the analysis had fans scratching their heads without a break.

Charli XCX’s positioning above Taylor Swift has the latter’s fandom raising eyebrows

Taylor Swift is practically a cultural phenomenon at this point. Her influence has soared to such dizzying heights that scientists and researchers are now scratching their heads over the Taylor Swift effect. In a world where even the Swift tabloids struggle to keep up with her legendary status, Pitchfork’s analysis threw a serious curveball, completely disregarding all the records she has smashed and leaving her with zero validation.

While many fans were cracking up on the list, non-Swifties were busy warming their hands by the fire, enjoying the drama.

Some folks felt that Charli XCX and Taylor Swift both deserved a spot in the Top 10, while others were firmly against Charli being there at all. With fans still scratching their heads over the position Swift’s ‘Folklore’ received, it is safe to say this analysis has left people running on fumes. Most are still buzzing about how unfair the list is, so it will be interesting to see if the Swifties can rise above the noise and reclaim their peace.
