‘Carnival’ Mints Fresh Highs for Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign While ‘Vultures 2’ Stays Grounded
Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign rolled out the first volume of their three-part ‘Vultures’ on February 10, 2024, and among its entire track list, ‘Carnival’ has stood out as a unanimous favorite. The about 4-minute long track has held its ground as the numero uno on various streaming platforms ever since its debut and for the major part, it is unlikely to lose ground anytime soon, especially given its current charting streak.
The hit-maker from the album extended its dominance again, but this time did not shy away from clinching more records to its name.

After a month of its debut, ‘Carnival’ has arguably sealed itself as the most successful track from ‘Vultures 1’ as it cemented its position at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 once again while giving Kanye West his first such hit in fifteen long years. Additionally, the song also made Ye the only rapper to hold a song at the first position on the charts for three successive decades as well as the only one of that stature twenty years into their career.
Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Playboi Carti, and Rich the Kid, ‘Carnival’ now has the distinction of being the sole chart-topper featuring four rappers in over twenty years. Along with others, in a nod to the legacy that West has earned, he also became the oldest rapper with such a record as well. Finally, the musical jewel of ‘Vultures 1’ also managed to hold back the tide of new releases from Beyoncé as well as Ariana Grande, showcasing its potential.
Overjoyed fans celebrating the triumph of ‘Carnival’ also lent an ear to the ongoing delay of ‘Vultures 2’ which recently received one potential update.

Scheduled to drop on March 8, 2024, ‘Vultures 2’ has run well past its anticipation. However, despite the hype and clamor for fresh music from the Kanye West fandom refusing to die down, ‘Vultures 2’ may never drop for streaming. The gloomy update found its way online when the ‘Donda’ singer in a fresh interaction on X (formerly Twitter) asked fans about the possibility of a website sale instead.
Looking to divert away the “control” of streaming platforms on artists, Kanye West has proposed fans buy the album straight from him, at $20, as per rumors. Moreover, the move will also ensure he secures the absolute rights and charge of his albums, allowing for modifications and updates without any middlemen involved.
