A recurrent reminder throughout the Eras Tour has been that Taylor Swift was born to perform in front of huge crowds. The pop star has no trouble lighting up a stadium packed with fans. Yet, for some reason, she has never taken the stage at America’s biggest sporting and live TV event- the Super Bowl. Last year, after Taylor Swift started dating NFL champion Travis Kelce, she became a big part of the conversation surrounding the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, the 2025 Super Bowl has already locked in Kendrick Lamar as the halftime show headliner.

That does not mean Taylor Swift’s chances of performing at the Super Bowl are completely off the table.

Now that Kendrick Lamar has been confirmed as the headliner for the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, fans are wondering what might be on his setlist and which big-name guests could join him. And the possibilities are endless, given Lamar’s high-profile collaborations, including with Taylor Swift. Should the rapper somehow manage to bring Swift for a performance of their 2015 ‘Bad Blood’ remix, it would be Taylor Swift’s debut on the Super Bowl halftime stage.

Taylor Swift has turned down Super Bowl offers more than once. At first, it was because she was tied to a rival brand of the Super Bowl Halftime sponsor, and later, it was because she was up to her ears in album work. So, it is not that the Super Bowl is not interested- passing up the biggest pop star would be a major missed opportunity. Nonetheless, this is not the only event where fans wish to see Taylor Swift.

Swift has also left her fans with no VMA performances for four years. As the 2024 event draws near, the anticipation is heating up again.

The last time Taylor Swift graced the VMA stage with her performance was back in 2019. While she can deliver a show-stopping performance even from the sidelines, fans are hoping for a comeback by the pop queen now that she is taking a breather from the Eras Tour. However, while there are whispers about Swift attending the VMAs, the chances of her actually performing are looking pretty slim.

The 2024 VMAs, however, could see Taylor Swift finally make her red-carpet debut with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Although they have been seen together at various concerts, outings, and dinner dates- a red-carpet moment is still missing from their joint appearances. So, here is hoping Travis Kelce helps make both the VMA and Super Bowl performances a reality for Taylor Swift's fans.
