The 40th MTV Video Music Awards has finally arrived on the horizon. The big music icons and artists are making their way to the red carpet flaunting their best of styles. But this time fans will miss the one group that has not only become famous for their enchanting voices but also killer looks. Yes! Fans got it right, BTS will not be attending this music event that the world awaits every year. The group announced in June this year they are going on hiatus in favor of solo careers. But the show has certainly not let fans feel the absence of these pop stars as their junior version has filled in their place this time.

The official page of MTV recently rolled out a cute clip on X, formerly known as Twitter. It showed TOMORROW X TOGETHER, a band under the same management as the iconic K-pop act, BTS, waving at the camera for fans who are streaming the event live. This is the first time the boy band has made an appearance on MTV VMAs. And it turns out this debut has become the very moment of their glory.

Shortly after posing at the red carpet, Beomgyu, Heuning Kai, Soo-bin, Taehyun and Yeonjun took their first Moonman at this awards show. TXT won the Push Performance of the Year for their song ‘Sugar Rush Ride’. The track came out at the beginning of 2023 taking over the minds of their fans around the globe.

So it was only a matter of time before they got their hands on the trophy. Besides this, the group has also been nominated for Best K-pop for the same song. The result for that category has not been announced at the time of writing, but fans are already above the moon getting glimpses of these budding musicians at the event.
