The world of music is ever-evolving with its waves of tunes and melodious chords. But for musicians, the chords of synchrony often strike beyond the musical realm. At the red carpet Hitmakers event, while admitting and confirming her attraction to women, Eilish also shared a flare of discontent from the audience’s reaction.

Per the ‘Bad Guy’ singer, she previously assumed that her choices were rather “obvious” even though they never aligned with the thought of making a “grand gesture”. However, now that she has come out, people’s reactions contrast with her assumption.
Reflecting some more upon the reactions, she revealed that she was unaware that “ people didn’t know.”. Eilish continued that perhaps, she did not really “believe in it”. The 21-year-old icon also confessed that she was always transparent with herself in regards to her choices at the Variety event, which was also graced by various other celebrities, including Meghan Markle. The only difference is that she “didn’t talk about it.”.
Although the fan reactions of surprise had taken the singer aback, her breathing some perspective into it has helped fans see things in clarity. Especially now more than ever, her musical discography has been resonating with the global audience.

In the record industry, music frequently finds a way to piece out the puzzles of the artist’s life. While parallelism might sometimes go unobserved, it has a way of transcending some way or the other by the end of the day. Much the same for Billie Eilish, her music has always been a catalyst to explore the deep trenching thoughts of her existence.
Her 2019 single, ‘Wish You Were Gay’ from her debut album, ‘When We Fall Asleep’, delved deep into some of her thought processes. In the song, Eilish seeks a reason behind her love interest not attending back to her. While not being able to unveil the real cause, she secretly hopes that he is gay. Perhaps, Eilish’s disappointment stems from the fact that despite her being so in the open, her audience failed to take notes on the much “obvious”.
