A project shrouded in secrecy holds some bountiful treasures within. The last few months of 2023 are witnessing an unprecedented rise in concert films. Not only are the flicks pitted head-to-head against some of the year’s biggest releases, but they are also beating several others to the dust. Mere days after Taylor Swift made a staggering box office in-road, Beyoncé is here to follow with her Renaissance Tour concert movie. The mega-affair, set to land in theaters on the first of December, premiered to a select few guests recently. However, the manner of it is sending off James Bond vibes.

The documentary concert movie went to extra lengths to ensure no leaks crept out of the crevice before Queen Bey intended.

The documentary concert movie written and directed by Beyoncé herself let loose no ends when it premiered to the likes of Lizzo, Halle Bailey, Janelle Monáe, and more. However, the guests had to follow a stringent code of conduct to witness the grand affair. As reported by Variety, the Beverly Hills’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater venue remained undisclosed until less than 24 hours before its start. Thereafter, the dress code mandated “cozy opulence”, which was religiously followed.

The “chrome carpet” event kicked off at 5.30 pm, followed by the premiere at 7 pm. To ensure no inadvertent leaks went out, phones were off the guests and in a security container. For an umpteenth time, the lights dimmed, and the singer made an appearance on stage only to remind to not shoot photos or videos. Finally, the event commenced with shades of silver running amok. From silver buckets of popcorn to silver envelopes of her perfumeries, the star-studded night finally witnessed the affairs on screen.

The two singers made individual histories this year with their contributions to music and added hard-earned revenue to their pockets. The Eras Tour concerts and its subsequent movie pegged the ‘Wildest Dreams’ singer up for a $1.1 billion net worth while the Renaissance Tour gained Beyoncé a sprawling $461.2 million. Furthermore, a day before her concert film’s global release, the ‘Hold Up’ singer has another premiere in London.

Currently, Swift is holding the South American leg of her concert which also found it embroiled in heatwave-related casualties. Thus, while she missed Beyoncé’s Beverly Hills premiere, the one in London may still be graced by her. Additionally, it might be time for her to return the favor for Queen Bey had made it a point to attend The Eras Tour’s Los Angeles premiere. Regardless, the year stands bound to end on a powerful note of women’s empowerment.
