In the last three to four days, users searching for any queries on Taylor Swift on X found an inexplicable error message. The move came as a part of the platform’s attempts to hide search results until they had removed any unwanted content surrounding the AI deepfake outrage. However, now, the micro-blogging site has made its headway with the removals as searching for the singer now returns quick results as usual.
Explicit and AI-generated Taylor Swift pictures flooded several corners of the internet, earlier this week. The rapid spread of such images using trending hashtags became a major concern for all users worldwide, even as Swifties actively combatted the threat by diluting them to oblivion. Notably, X remained the only site that called for a ban on searches surrounding the singer until damage control had taken place, while matters went straight to the White House.
In the meantime, the ‘1989’ singer garnered quick hashtags for reasons including the NFL and the 2024 presidential elections.
