Amidst New Music Hype, Here Is One Time When Kanye West Told Travis Scott How He “made a whole…”
Kanye West has always had a chokehold on hip-hop music as much as he has over-trending news. After making waves in Venice and a new music preview in London, the rapper has left his fandom with high hopes for his upcoming album. If leaks and rumors are anything to go by, then West may be featuring a massive catalog of collaborations in his next album after ‘Donda’.
Scott started out with West’s G.O.O.D. Music label in 2012. Later on, from ‘College Dropout’, ‘Yeezus’, and ‘Roadeo’, their collaborations have been plentiful. Along the lines of it, one studio moment stands out.

Among the many young rappers and musicians who have stated Kanye West as their inspiration and admiration, Travis Scott is one. The pair has collaborated on several music launches and there lie countless testaments to their closeness. One leisurely moment from 2019 of the duo in the studio stands out. During the production of West’s ‘Jesus Is King’ 2019 album, Ye opened up about how he “made a whole drum out of a car door.”
The 32-year-old singer had once even found himself as a member of West’s family when he dated Kylie Jenner during the latter’s married life with Kim Kardashian. Scott has also mentioned West as his mentor and brought it to full display at his last concert in Rome. Hogging the limelights, the ‘Donda’ rapper made an unexpected appearance at Scott’s ‘Utopia’ album concert with the latter pointing out that “there is no Travis Scott without Kanye West.”
Now with ‘Utopia’ debuted and streaming, Ye is on his own way to his next album. However, even though many new rappers have found their names attached to it, Scott is yet to find mention.
Is Travis Scott a part of Ye’s latest upcoming album?
Kanye West sent his fandom into sleepless nights and short breaths when he dropped abrupt clues for them to piece it over. He dropped his new music previews unannounced and on random locations such as in the background of Mowlalola’s Fashion Week in London and a Steve Lacy Concert. Additionally, the rapper has also been credited to a song by rapper Albe Back, although it is not known if they are collaborating on West’s album.

Several near-confirmed leaks and hints have pointed out that the upcoming West album is under the working title of ‘Change’. Moreover, it is also set to feature Ty Dolla Sign and Young Thug. Along with several rumors following the chain, there has interestingly been no mention of Travis Scott as of yet. Furthermore, Kanye West himself is yet to confirm his new album announcement. As such, it is a waiting game until perhaps Ye announces it on his X (formerly known as Twitter) post.
