The podcasters chimed in, saying while it is plausible that Drake was offered the gig, the idea he turned it down not once but several times was pushing it a bit. Skeptics were scratching their heads, wondering why Drake would pass up such a massive opportunity, especially since he once rapped "Big as the Super Bowl" in 'First Person Shooter'-clearly aware of its impact. Even entertaining the idea hypothetically would pretty much slam the door on those rumors that Jay-Z has a beef with Drake.

To get on board with the statements, they must ditch one of the claims—either that Drake was offered the gig or that Jay-Z has it out for him. But it looks like the first claim is getting more traction since Schulz and Charlamagne are not the only ones raising their eyebrows about it.

Once Kendrick Lamar was announced as the Super Bowl LIX halftime headliner, controversy was not far behind. Some artists even threw Lil Wayne into the mix, questioning if Lamar was the right choice. But after the Rory and Mal podcast stirred up rumors about Drake being offered the Super Bowl gig, Bloomberg’s sports journalist Randall Williams stepped in with some insights. 

Williams took to X to set the record straight, saying NFL sources confirmed Drizzy has never been offered the halftime show in the past five years. While these put a damper on the bombshell claims, the sparks from the Lamar-Drake feud are still flying. So even if the Super Bowl drama cools down, it will not be a shocker if the Kendrick Lamar and Drake saga reignites in ways fans do not see coming.
