Amidst Hanumankind’s Global Takeover, NLE Choppa Bags a Collaboration With Yet Another Indian Icon
The rap world, which was once confined to New York City, has now spread its wings to bring in hip-hop enthusiasts from every corner of the world. In recent times, many up-and-coming artists have earned mainstream recognition in the global sphere. Even from India, where the concept of rap was foreign until three decades ago, rappers have been welcomed with open arms onto the global stage. Now, Memphis teen rap sensation NLE Choppa has teamed up with one of the most popular global Indian artists to exist today.
Choppa has recently dropped his new single, showing how an Indian-American fusion can weave magic like never before.

NLE Choppa has introduced an interesting blend of Punjabi flair and American hip-hop with a collaboration with global icon Diljit Dosanjh. The pair released 'Muhammad Ali' on July 26, along with a music video featuring the two artists, right after Hanumankind made the world groove to his bars. The cross-cultural team-up, which aimed at paying homage to the legendary Muhammad Ali, who passed away in 2016 at age 74, instantly hit a chord with fans. However, this was not Dosanjh's first global collaboration.
Dosanjh became a known face in Hollywood after the North American leg of his Dil-Luminati Tour. The Punjabi mogul has also collaborated with international artists like Camilo, Sia, Ed Sheeran, and more. He also made his US TV debut on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show earlier this year and performed two of his biggest hits, 'Born to Shine' and 'G.O.A.T'. Recently, both Choppa and Dosanjh shared their thoughts about this collaboration.
Choppa and Dosanjh talked about their inspiration behind the track and the journey they shared in the creation process.

Diljit Dosanjh and NLE Choppa shared a statement about their new song. Dosanjh mentioned that 'Muhammad Ali' "celebrates the spirit of resilience and empowerment" and expressed his excitement to bless the world with another one of his Punjabi hits. Describing his experience collaborating with Choppa, Dosanjh shared that it was "incredibly inspiring." Choppa also added to the statement.
Terming it a "true honor," Choppa talked about the "memorable journey" he shared with Dosanjh during the making of the track. While Dosanjh was excited to share the track with a global audience, Choppa was eager for "Indian fans to make this track their own." Nonetheless, with the rap world expanding and introducing such talents, it looks like the golden age of hip-hop might just be here.
