The world is eagerly waiting for Ye, aka Kanye West, to drop his comeback album, and right now, all eyes are on ‘Bully’. The rapper made his plans for the upcoming album known last year, but, as usual, fans are not really expecting it to drop on time—or anytime soon, for that matter. But one thing is for sure- Ye is working hard on the album, with all the little snippets and studio updates that have been popping up online. Still, before Ye can make his big resurgence to the hip-hop scene, his daughter is stepping in to fill the void left by her father's music.

North West, who is basically a walking advertisement for Japan, has teamed up on another track with Japanese verses. The song, ‘Childlike Things’, is part of FKA twigs’ latest album, 'EUSEXUA.' The album dropped on streaming platforms at midnight on January 24, right after it was confirmed that West had contributed her magic to twigs' project. Interestingly, it has only been a year since North West made her rap debut, and already, the young rapper is showing why she is here for the long haul.

West’s debut track ‘Talking’ in 'Vultures' debuted at No. 30 on the Hot 100 last year, pulling in a whopping 12.33 million official US streams in its first week. That placed her as one of the youngest artists ever to make it onto the chart, not to mention the Emerging Artist list. Mom Kim Kardashian could not help but flaunt her daughter’s success, reposting the chart on her Instagram Story with the proudest “My baby!!!!”. And now, fans of Ye are feeling that same surge of pride for his successor.

Fans have flooded X, praising North West for her latest feature and even calling her the new “GOAT.

North West wins over fans as the next big thing in rap

North West’s feature on FKA twigs’ album came right after Ye gushed about how his daughter reignited his passion for music. He took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post with behind-the-scenes footage of West in the studio, calling her “my biggest inspiration.” Ye also made it clear that it was his daughter who made him fall in love with music all over again, for which fans thanked the 11-year-old on social media. And now, after hearing her latest track and seeing how passionate she is about the craft, fans are starting to see exactly what Ye meant.

A lot of people did not expect North West to deliver such a killer track, but she proved them wrong.

Aside from this feature, West has also been teasing her debut album, 'Elementary School Dropout,' since early 2024. The album will be a tribute to her father’s legendary 2004 LP 'The College Dropout,' which she first mentioned during a 'Vultures' listening party in Phoenix last March. And just like Ye’s 'Bully,' fans are eagerly waiting for North West’s debut album too, with high hopes and expectations.
