Amid Kendrick Lamar-Drake Drama, Ye Texts Praise for Short-Form Content Creator
The world of hip-hop has yet to move past a rejig of its dynamics that had, of late, found Kendrick Lamar throwing a Drake diss in his track until Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, decided to step in. The ‘Donda’ singer locked horns in the medley as he took an unexpected stance on the situation and also partook in another beef alongside the sidelines. However, this feuding scenario did not stop the latest entrant from dropping surprises.
With the genre’s musical arena having split up with its greats taking shorts at one another, the ‘Flashing Lights’ singer appears to have it all under control.

Kendrick Lamar decided to take a diss on Drake and J. Cole on his latest track, ‘Like That’. However, speculations also flew in that the same may have contained a sly dig at Ye. Now, hours after responding to the same, the ‘Jesus Is King’ singer appears to have forgotten it all as he took to his Instagram stories to share a text conversation with Traquan Ragsdale, also known as Tra Rags.
The screenshot from Ye’s side had him send “I love your work” to the short-form content creator who has a large following on platforms like TikTok and YouTube. Whether the rapper has some plans of collaboration or simply shared the same as a sign of going about his ways, as usual, remains up for debate. With over 1.5 million followers on TikTok, Tra Rags also has a few listings on Apple Music, although as a feature and without clear signs as to pointing to the same creator.
In the meantime, the stage of rap music has yet to recover or even properly process the sequence of events, which also found Ye feuding with another rapper.

The Ye-Ty Dolla $ign collaboration of ‘Vultures 1’ rolled out on streaming platforms on February 10. While the album has since taken to different heights in streaming charts, a track, ‘Carnival’ hit runaway success as it held onto the top position for several weeks after release. Amid such success, rapper Sheck Wes hit out on Ye, claiming he stole beats from his song, ‘Mo Bamba’ for the same.
In his reply to the heavily worded allegations, the 46-year-old rapper simply posted that very song on his Instagram story. The unexpressed emotion in the same stood out within the fandom, with many interpretations. Regardless, the current highlight still stood as his claims of having “washed” Kendrick Lamar and Drake, adding a new angle to the feud.
