The world of music is as resonant and ever-changing as an audiophile spinning a record on an ornate gramophone. In the cacophony of sounds, it is not always the sweet melody that plays, but also the rhythm and dedication of creative spirits working their way up the charts. As humming as unforgiving, the music industry always wants the best talent up the coveted place. In his quest to obtain the same, Kanye West has long tried and, more often than not, succeeded.

For Ye, a dry spell seems to continue for the last couple of years. Moreover, remnants of his last big studio album are surfacing to remind him that it is time for some new music.

It has been two years since Kanye West sold out an entire stadium packed with his fans for an unannounced public listening party for ‘Donda’. The move showcased the rapper’s chokehold influence on hip-hop. It also went on to cement the album as top-billed for sales in both music and merch. Recently surfacing on the Internet was an unreleased t-shirt for the same. Featuring a photograph of Ye’s mother, Donda, along with the Italian phrase – “Mama ti voglio bene”, it never made its way to the stores.

Dedicated to his late mother, ‘Donda’ marked the rapper’s tenth studio album. Boasting A-list collaborators, including JAY-Z, Andre 3000, Vory, The Weeknd, Kid Cudi, and Don Toliver, the album was a massive success. The album sold over 300,000 copies in its first week and topped the Billboard 200 album chart. Among its noted merchandise were a Balenciaga face mask, long sleeve T-shirts, and a cap, all in West’s trademark black.
