“Always working…”- Malik Yusef Has a Kanye West Update, Months After Criticizing Him Over His Controversies
It is almost like a wave of celebrities that are buzzing over Kanye West and his upcoming work. While the singer still maintains his distance from the paparazzi, people kept him trending through every single day of his absence. Having disappeared after a series of antics, he lies low, but his work still makes sounds, literally. After giving a glimpse of his Yeezy fashion label, we may have an album incoming.
Ye is known for dropping albums unexpectedly, but considering the financial blow, we can expect the next release to be a well-thought-out one. After making fans wait for a long time, expectations are high. Hints from fellow rappers suggest he plans to fulfill that through several interesting collaborations.

After multiple revelations from fellow artists, Malik Yusef has joined the queue to drop hints of Ye’s work. The rapper revealed to AllHipHop during an interview about what he is up to these days, he affirmed staying occupied with multiple projects. “I am always working. Right now we are working on this new Kanye album,” he revealed. He also added about working with Rihanna and Snow, but held back on the detailed information.
His own work may release as early as August as he works on these projects. He has dripped his hands in everything from poetry to acting and was part of the multi-starrer, ‘Sin City’ song with a long list of rappers including Ye. As everyone celebrates 50 years of hip hop, the artist seems to have gotten over his comments against Ye, made just a few months ago. He called out the rapper over his offensive remarks, and for supporting ‘white nationalists.’
Yuself was not the only one to criticize, but also not the only one to get back on track with him. After all, they have a shared history.

Back in 2003, Yusef released the album ‘The Great Chicago Fire; A Cold Day in Hell’ which had Kanye West, Chantay Savage, and Carl Thomas. Then in 2005, Ye was featured in his ‘Wouldn’t You Like To Ride’ song. Being a producer as well, Ye co-produced ‘Promised Land’ for him in 2008, followed by ‘Magic Man’ in 2009. His 2009 album ‘G.O.O.D. Morning, G.O.O.D. Night’ was co-produced by West, followed by the 2010 song ‘Ayyy Girl.’
He and Ye worked together when the former collaborated with director Frey Hoffman for ‘Jesus Walks’ back in 2017. Thereafter, both have been busy in their respective careers, whilst sharing a mostly respectful relationship.
