At a time when the music industry is making massive box-office in-roads, Kanye West is out preparing for a comeback of his own. The ubiquitous rapper remained largely absent from the musical stage while rivals such as Drake pulled ahead. Moreover, a brief period of headlines that teased upcoming concerts, album launches, and collaborations have largely fallen flat or received no official reciprocation from the rapper. However, as the year comes to a close, steam sets to gather in Ye’s creative engines as a ton of exciting updates churned themselves out within a few days.

Still nestled in Dubai, the rapper took to the limelight in yet another collaborated release and pushed a fellow artist to a new high.

Sean Leon reaches a personal best thanks to Kanye West

In hip-hop, Kanye West comes out as a key figure. The ‘Flashing Lights’ singer enjoys a chokehold of influence thanks to rappers like Travis Scott who has publicly endorsed his mentoring. Continuing his legacy of the same, the rapper recently joined hands with Canadian rapper, Sean Leon. A 2023 album by the latter as a tribute to his late brother, ‘In Loving Memory’, featured a Kanye West collaboration titled ‘Oxygen’ and went on to sit firmly on Apple Music’s Top Songs section of Leon’s page.

The newly released song featured fresh verses and a neo-synth vibe attached. Giving off a R&B feel with trap and hip-hop elements, the track has caught the frenzy of many tuning in daily. Additionally, the song came close on the heels of Ye releasing ‘Vultures’. The song remains the only track so far previewed from ‘Y$’, from his collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign. Moreover, the rapper also performed a live version of it in Dubai, marking the end of a long dry spell for the West fandom.

In the meantime, Kanye West took some time off to attend to some more pressing familial issues.

After a brief rumor surrounding a potential marital discord, Kanye West reunited with Bianca Censori in Saudi Arabia. Staying inseparable while hopping boundaries for most of this year, the couple stood separated when Ye returned to the US. Soon after, the former Yeezy executive had returned to her family in Australia. Yet now, the duo once again looks forward to sticking together as they probably are skipping the US for Christmas.

The love-sharing with his wife was along the lines of a heartfelt bonding with his daughter, North West. The 10-year-old had relayed her desire to be with her father in an aired episode of The Kardashians. Ye and North went around for much of Saudi Arabia together, meeting and greeting fans, walking alongside Yeezy executives, and creating memories for a lifetime.
