Taylor Swift’s impersonator, Ashley Leechin, is currently the talk of the town. After her stunt at the Grove outdoor shopping area and Downtown Disney, she received a lot of hate on social media. Fans called out the Tiktoker for her prank and said that it was executed in poor taste. In her defense, Leechin took to Instagram and spoke about how celebrities have hired decoys for years and it was not a “malicious act.” She also informed her followers that she might go inactive owing to the amount of negativity she has been subjected to.

Shortly after the incident, a Twitter page posted a picture featuring three other celebrity impersonators. And the lookalikes are so accurate that it is almost impossible to distinguish them from real celebrities.

Every celebrity uses decoys and look-alike, which helps them confuse people about their movements. However, sometimes these imposters forget the lines between impersonating, catfishing, and scamming people. For this reason, fans often scrutinize them, and perhaps that is also why sometimes they receive so much hate. Recently, the media spotted the counterparts of celebrated singers, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and Rihanna, at the Town Festival in Brazil.

A Twitter page called Pop Crave posted an image featuring these lookalikes that caused a buzz among netizens. The page captioned the post saying “Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Rihanna impersonators at The Town festival in Brazil”. Fans were stunned at how similar the impersonators looked to the celebrities and shared various memes in response. The São Paulo event, where the media spotted the lookalikes, is a five-day celebration of art and entertainment.
