Kanye West has left an indelible mark on the world of hip-hop. Boasting 24 Grammy Awards, twice that of Taylor Swift, he also holds clout for his influence and mentoring. In the decades of his music-making, he has trained the likes of Travis Scott, Big Sean, and Kid Cudi while also signing on young talents like Q-Tip and Don Jazzy. Interestingly, even as his upcoming collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign, ‘Vultures’, faces constant pushbacks, he looks to be not dialing down on possible new connections.

Staying true to his roots as an influencer and trend-setter of the genre, Ye has likely linked up with another fresh face for his album.

American rapper JPEGMAFIA, aka Peggy, recently posted a reconciliation picture with Kanye West. With the post captioned as “Vultures”, there remained hardly any doubts that the duo would likely collaborate for fresh pieces. Now, a new clip posted to Ye’s official Instagram account has Bianca Censori driving through the streets with the song ‘Girls Like Drugs’ from Paris Texas humming in the background. A look at his profile showcased him following the band, sparking fresh collaboration rumors.

The 2018-formed alternative hip-hop duo has rapper-producers Louie Pastel and Felix as the members. Over the past 5 years, they have sent out a carousel of carefully curated music and gained a prominent fan base for their beats. Additionally, the young faces have also attained separate fan attraction for combining elements from other genres into their music. Thus, a likely collaboration would add a new layer to ‘Vultures’ aside from Ye’s trademark styles.

Regardless of frequent collaboration news and the rapper’s outings, the upcoming album has yet to land despite several missed release dates.

Vultures likely to drop before Valentine’s Day 2024

Kanye West previewed ‘Vultures’ amid much fanfare at the 12th December Miami rave. After months of anticipation, several new releases made their way to a public listening show. However, despite an Apple Music pre-save listing for 15th December, the album roll-out got pushed back indefinitely. With even Christmas and New Year’s Eve rollout possibilities passing by, news dropped that Ye and Ty Dolla $ign had yet to complete the recording.

As of now, despite the new faces added on board, ‘Vultures’ stands set for a 9th February drop. If the ‘Flashing Lights’ singer’s ‘Donda’ era is anything to go by, then the delays come as completely normal with the two albums sharing many similarities as well as differences. In the meantime, with even more reconciliations, more new faces may also find their place beside Ye soon.
