After Hatching Multiple Kanye West Easter Eggs, Will Travis Scott Bring out His Mentor at 66th Grammy Awards Stint?
Travis Scott will forever owe his rap industry standing to Kanye West, who bestowed his first-ever publishing deal to him in 2012. Not only did Ye pave the way for the Texas native to construct beats for the biggest players in the rap game, but also later became the mentor who would guide him through his showbiz endeavors. Lately, Scott is returning the favor by repeatedly bringing out West at his ‘Utopia’ concerts to hype up the ‘Donda’ rapper before his impending ‘Vultures’ drop.
Will he continue this streak by giving Ye a nod at the upcoming Grammy Award ceremony?

Kanye West has not performed at the Grammys in almost a decade since his last one at the 57th installment of the event. On 4th February, Scott has a chance to bring West back to the prestigious stage, which, considering the overwhelming response to him bringing out West at his Circus Maximus concerts, may just seem like a good idea. However, he has made no hint pointing in this direction so far.
Not many would disagree that Ye is a legendary live performer. At the same time, how can one forget the industry’s disdain for him due to never-ending controversies? Even in 2022, he was enlisted to perform at the 64th Grammys till being canceled due to concerning behaviors he was exhibiting at the time. So, Scott might have trouble convincing the award body to green-light a West cameo, even if he wants to.
Even so, his past outbursts, especially those targeting the Grammys, may not help his case.

Before West was sidelined for the 2022 Grammys, he had built up quite the portfolio of stirring trouble for the award body. In 2020, he shared a video of a Grammy award thrown in a toilet bowl. Another instance from 2015 occurred when alt-rock artist Beck defeated Beyoncé to clutch a Grammy. This led to Ye almost invading the stage to pitch for Beyoncé’s win, similar to what he did in 2009 with Taylor Swift at the VMAs.
Moments like these have tarnished the 46-year-old’s reputation with restrictions imposed on him raining down from all directions lately. Even in 2005, he subtly tried to manipulate the Grammy committee, saying that if he lost out on awards, he would consider it biased against himself. So, it would certainly take a lot for Travis Scott to erase these events from everybody’s memories to bring West on this year.
