Advances Denied as Taylor Swift Makes It Clearer Than Ever How She Feel About WAGs Show
These days, social media makes it a breeze to peek into the personal lives of professional sportspeople. However, one downside to this otherwise exciting trend is the slow fade of reality shows about their partners, which have, quite literally, fallen out of fashion. Bravo, though, is stepping in to revive the genre with a new show featuring the WAGs of the Kansas City Chiefs- and, of course, the first name that springs to mind when talking about the Chiefs' better halves is Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s famous girlfriend.
Yet, it seems Swift is standing her ground, despite the network and the Chiefs' WAGs doing everything to change her mind about the show.

Taylor Swift has done wonders for the NFL viewership, and it is obvious that if she joined Bravo's WAGs show, its popularity would skyrocket in no time. According to a recent report from Deuxmoi, Chariah Gordon and Sheawna Weathersby, both confirmed cast members, have been nudging Swift to be a part of the show. Gordon has even gone so far as to send Swift flowers in hopes of winning her over.
Swift, however, seems quite resistant to the idea of airing her personal life, especially her relationship with Travis Kelce, on a reality show. Last week, PEOPLE reported that two big names in the WAG circle- the 'Cruel Summer' singer and Brittany Mahomes- will not be joining the series. The pop star "is very protective of what little private life she has left,” a source shared with the outlet. Especially considering the personal milestone Swift has recently hit, it really does not make much sense for her to lean on her relationship insights for attention.
Just recently, Taylor Swift zipped past Rihanna to snag a major title in the world of female musicians.

Last year, Taylor Swift became the first musician to reach billionaire status solely from the value of her songs and performances. Now, she has reached another career high by being named the richest female musician in the world, with Forbes estimating her net worth at $1.6 billion. Meanwhile, Rihanna joined the billionaire club in 2021, thanks in large part to her Fenty Beauty success, with a net worth of $1.4 billion.
Taylor Swift’s rising record sales and successful tours gave her the push she needed to surpass Rihanna as the wealthiest female musician. Given where she is in her career, it is clear that the 'Lover' creator wants to safeguard whatever little privacy she has left and seems completely uninterested in trading it for a spot on a reality show.
