Back in November 2022, Kanye West unveiled his vision to make fashionable clothing affordable. Rather more specifically, he had promised to list most of his products at the Yeezy store available for $20. Remarkably, a little more than a year later, the ‘Donda’ singer kept his word. Additionally, with the products going live, sales numbers have also received a whopping uptick, prompting the rapper to take to his Instagram and showcase the same.
“The people have spoken.” With the flair of this one line, Kanye West laid bare the sale of more than a staggering 266,000 units of the Yeezy pods along with ‘Vultures’ merchandise. With the total orders going up to more than a whopping 294 thousand, the singer raked in $19.3 million in revenue within just one day. Furthermore, he also won over fans’ trust when he issued guidelines for instant refunds through the Yeezy page after a glitch resulted in the pods selling for $200.
The sheer volume of sales came in unison with the rising chart number of his latest album.
Vultures 1 takes Kanye West to the top in 100 countries
In the same Instagram post, Kanye West also highlighted that ‘Vultures 1’ stood in the first position in music charts across 100 countries in just one day. Incidentally, that number has only gone up, with over 104 countries jamming to the rapper’s beats despite a chaotic rollout. The album debuted on Apple Music more than 12 hours behind schedule and started trending, only to be pulled back down for refinements.

After its reinstation, the album once again climbed the highs, despite a Spotify release not in sight. After a discussion with his music producers going live, the album arrived on Spotify and lapped up 55.6 million streams in its first 24 hours. As of now, the album has yet to lose any steam as further hype keeps pushing the numbers up in anticipation of the second volume.
