Last year, it was revealed that Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn had parted ways after 6 years together. While most fans were disappointed about the news, there was not much anyone could do. With the couple keeping their relationship rather private, no one knew what was going on behind the scenes. That is why it seems fans have forgotten that the couple had co-written more than just a few songs together.
With Alwyn working with Swift on ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’, the actor would be earning profits from the 34-year-old’s music for many years to come. The slip of information may have been because the 33-year-old used a fake name to be credited for the 6 songs he had worked on. The name was William Bowery, and he was credited on ‘Betty’, ‘Exile’, ‘Champagne Problems’, ‘Evermore’, ‘Coney Island’, and even ‘Sweet Nothing’ from the 2022 album, ‘Midnights’.
While Alwyn could be profiting off Swift’s music for years, Swift’s new album could shut that down rather quickly depending on what she reveals in it.

Last year, Taylor Swift seemed to be keeping herself rather busy with the Eras Tour, her concert film, and her relationship with Travis Kelce. While everyone thought that the singer had her hands full, she shocked her fans by announcing ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ after making history at the Grammys. Once the name of the album was dropped, fans could not help but draw comparisons to her ex, Joe Alwyn’s group chat with Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott.
Apart from that, Swifties also noticed that the song names added up to Alwyn as it had references to previously released songs. While the pop sensation has been hyping up the album throughout her world tour, she also ended up adding different variants for fans to collect. Although fans are dying to hear the songs on the upcoming album, they will have to wait till April 19th for it to finally drop.
