Speaking to the ET’s Deidre Behar, Amber Rose shed light on many things like her clothing line, MUVA, and even the infamous incident that took place at the 2009 MTV VMAs. The American model first expressed her admiration for the ‘Lover’ singer and called her amazing. Then she addressed Kanye West, storming the stage and interrupting Swift’s acceptance speech. “He was telling the truth — Beyoncé deserved that award but you can’t take it from somebody else,” she said.
Rose also added though he was right, however, it was wrong to steal the mic from the Grammy winner. According to her, Swift had nothing to do with this and it was not her fault she got the award instead of Beyoncé. During the event, the ‘Donda’ singer stopped Swift as she was to make her acceptance speech and said, “I’mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!”.
Recalling the aftermath of that moment, Rose revealed that West felt bad for the ‘Bad Blood’ singer when he realized it later.

In the same conversation, Amber Rose recalled the VMA representatives took Kanye West aside to talk about his behavior. She defended the former billionaire and said “I can honestly say that he was very remorseful”. The incident was not about Taylor Swift and the media made it seem that he took a dig at his fellow singer. Instead, the Yeezy founder was trying to show support for Queen Bey, who did not receive the honor.
The talk show host believes it was an unfortunate situation and people conceived his words wrongly. Through this statement, Rose wanted to make clear Kanye West was going through a tough time and he never intended to hurt Swift. As for the ‘Midnights singer’, she has also tried to bury the hatchet several times after that incident. Now this clarification might clear the air between the two legendary musicians.
