Zayn Malik Celebrates Birthday in Creepy Fashion With a Special ‘The Last of Us’ Cake
Hollywood’s traditional New Year’s euphoria has been replaced by a sense of unease, courtesy of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. As the entertainment capital struggles to contain the damage, several high-profile events have been reduced to mere embers or shown the red alert until further notice. However, Zayn Malik marked his birthday in an eerily fitting fashion, with a custom cake seemingly inspired by the post-apocalyptic world of The Last of Us.
While creepy birthday cakes may not be the year’s trend yet, Malik’s one surely has in it to become a trendsetter, nevertheless.

Zayn Malik’s 32nd birthday was a hauntingly sweet celebration. On January 12, the singer marked another year by indulging in a taste of terror with a spine-tingling cake from what appears to be inspired by The Last of Us’s infamous Clicker zombie. Malik took to his Instagram stories to share glimpses of the unsettling dessert, which eerily mirrored the undead creature. In contrast to the creepy cake, his first snap was a heartwarming thank-you note to fans for their birthday wishes and generosity.
In his second snap, Malik lauded Elizabeth Rowe, aka thelondonbaker, tagging her on Instagram and expressing gratitude for the “piece of art” she made. As the reigning champion of Netflix’s Is It Cake? season 2 and Food Network’s Cake Wars, Rowe’s skills are literally the icing on the cake and Malik was not shy about labeling her an “absolute legend.” “This is the best cake I have ever had… in 32 years!” Malik wrote.
While Zayn Malik’s birthday went well surrounded by fans and loved ones, the looming uncertainty of the LA fires, which have left fans fretting about the fate of his upcoming shows, tempered the festivities.
Will Zayn Malik’s LA shows get canceled because of the LA inferno?

Malik, however, has yet to issue an official statement regarding the LA shows following the devastating condition of the area. According to sources, the Palisades and Eaton fires have destroyed over 10,000 structures, including homes, offices, and more. While his followers’ rallying together to raise funds already earned his deepest gratitude, it remains to be seen how Malik handles the situation moving forward.
