While she previously directed the short film All Too well: The Short Film, her collaboration with Searchlight Pictures will mark her first feature-length movie. Details about the film's plot and casting are yet to be revealed.

Searchlight Presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield had also acknowledged Swift's storytelling.
