In the record industry, Taylor Swift has a track record of success stories that have long been awaiting a transition to the film genre. Although Swift has graced the screens before, this time, fans have been on their toes with the hopes of her Midas touch finally encroaching on the box office scenario. As the rumor mill teems with speculations about her MCU debut as Dazzler in Shawn Levy’s upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, another conjecture has found home about her recent meet and greet with the Marvel boss.

Amidst all this, now the burning question is, does the meeting confirm Swift’s role as Dazzler?

In 2023, speculations were rife about Taylor Swift’s debut into the MCU as Dazzler after the pop star was sighted at the Kansas City Chiefs versus New York Jets game with the Deadpool & Wolverine crew including Shawn Levy, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman. Although, Levy has played coy, as has Reynolds over the confirmation, a recent update from insider Daniel Richtman on Patreon cues that Swift reportedly met with Kevin Feige to discuss a role in the MCU.

This, in no way, means that Swift is all set to play Dazzler in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine because the MCU character can be beyond fans’ expectations. And given she has already appeared on TV and film projects before as well, her intentions could be to carve out a role that fans do not necessarily anticipate. Additionally, Marvel Comics has several roles other than Dazzler. With the MCU’s current penchant for renewing its slate of quality releases, the studio has been on a wave of reinventing its inventory.

As it is, Taylor Swift’s meeting with Feige can either profit the Deadpool & Wolverine team or score a new hit for the cartel of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, fans look very much sold on the former idea.

One reason both MCU fans and Swifties have been buzzing with excitement about Taylor Swift potentially debuting as Dazzler is that the Deadpool & Wolverine team has not ruled out the possibility. Though they have been secretive, with all cards held to their chest to preserve any cinematic surprise, a recent update from Daniel Richtman has reignited hopes of seeing her in this role.

Many fans could not imagine a better choice for Dazzler than Swift. But others were busy praising her for landing such a significant creative collaboration. 

Some enthusiasts speculated on other roles she might take within the MCU. However, most seemed convinced and eager to see her as Dazzler. However, with neither Kevin Feige nor Swift commenting on the update yet, speculation might continue to swirl until there is a nod of official confirmation. Hence, for now, fan theories are supposed to fill the gap for the search and rescue squad.
