Taylor Swift, despite her massive fame, all the attention, and the controversies that came with it, has somehow kept that clean and relatable image intact for years since her debut. Sure, a lot of it can be chalked up to Swift’s genuinely admirable character, but a big chunk of it also goes to the mastermind behind her PR team, her long-time publicist. And yes, it is true that whenever a biopic of Swift is made, her publicist’s role might turn out to be even more iconic than the pop star herself- and we already have someone ready to bring that to life- Amy Adams.

Actress Amy Adams, however, has one small condition before she will sign on to play Taylor Swift’s publicist in a movie.

Amy Adams recently showed up on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. During their conversation, Fallon informed Adams about the “huge online petition” calling for her to portray Tree Paine, Taylor Swift’s publicist, in a biopic. Adams instantly thought the idea was "amazing" and "fun," but also added with a grin, "if it got me closer to Taylor". Considering their resemblance, including similar red-luscious locks, this casting could not have been better. She went on to share how she discovered her inner "swiftie at 50" after attending the Eras Tour with her friends.

The friends Adams mentioned were Eizabeth Banks and Sarah Paulson, who were all spotted jamming out to Taylor Swift at one of her LA shows last year. While Adams had always admired Swift and her music, it was the Eras Tour that fully transformed her into a friendship-bracelet-wearing, die-hard Swiftie. But still, one might ask- what is the big deal about Taylor Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine?

But with Taylor Swift, and the massive curiosity behind her every move, it is no shock that people are eager to know more about the people running the show behind the curtain. Fans cannot stop talking about Tree Paine and her PR savvy. They often share clips of her managing Swift, even if it just a simple gesture of passing water to her at award functions. But what truly sets Tree Paine apart is how she navigated through some major controversies.
