Sabrina Carpenter Showers Praise for Andrew Garfield, Mikey Madison, and More for Their Take on ‘Please Please Please'
After the success of 'Espresso' last year, Sabrina Carpenter dropped another '80s-inspired track 'Please Please Please.' The track quickly became a fan favorite and earned Carpenter her first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Just like 'Espresso,' 'Please Please Please' also went viral because of its catchy, well-crafted lyrics. Now, it seems like Hollywood's top stars cannot get enough of it either.
Actors like Andrew Garfield recently shared their take on the song's catchy lyrics, and their renditions have impressed Sabrina Carpenter too.

Andrew Garfield, Paul Mescal, and Nicholas Hoult recently joined Mikey Madison, Pamela Anderson, and Demi Moore, all of whom took part in a fun improv of Sabrina Carpenter’s hit song ‘Please Please Please.’ This improv was featured in W Magazine’s Best Performances 2025 issue. Responding to the readings, Carpenter reposted the W Magazine clip from Instagram on her story, writing, “Y'all sound great.”
While everyone brought their own dramatic spin to the lyrics of the 2024 chartbuster, Garfield in particular praised Carpenter, calling her “brilliantly, wickedly talented.” And it is hard to argue with him on that. Carpenter’s breakout success last year has sparked lots of talk about her possibly stepping into the spotlight in a big way, maybe even taking over Taylor Swift, especially with the Grammys coming up.
One of the biggest and most talked-about comparisons in the Grammy race this year is the one between Swift and the so-called ‘Taydaughter.’ Fans are now wondering if the up-and-coming star, Carpenter, can even beat the pop queen herself at the ceremony.
Could Sabrina Carpenter take down Taylor Swift at the Grammys?
A big part of Sabrina Carpenter’s rise to fame can be credited to Taylor Swift. Not only did the 'Lover' singer promote the ‘Nonsense’ star, but she also had Carpenter open for her Eras Tour. And now, months after the breakout, Carpenter is leading the Grammy race with eight nominations, while Swift has six nods in total. Even of the six nominations, only two of them seem like they have a chance of winning.

Looking at how things are shaping up at the moment, there is a possibility that Carpenter might just end up sweeping the Grammys from Swift the next month. And the idea of a rising star potentially outshining a superstar is something fans are keeping a close eye on, and as soon as the ceremony results come in, it is only going to add even more to Carpenter’s growing star power.
