Just when fans thought Saturday Night Live could not get more iconic, it pulled a Queen Bey and surprised them with ‘Renaissance’ over a legendary revival of the Bridesmaids Speech sketch for its 50th anniversary. As everyone grabbed the mic for a karaoke night gone rogue, Sabrina Carpenter led the bride's squad with a rousing rendition of ‘Defying Gravity,’ making even Glinda feel upstaged. But the moment that sent fans into a spiral? It was the accidental bum-crash between Carpenter and Pedro Pascal that fans do not feel staged.  

Sabrina Carpenter knew one pop diva moment was not enough and summoned Taylor Swift’s ‘You Belong With Me’ for the hilarity still warming up in the pipeline. But the groomsmen were not about to let the ladies have all the fun. They stormed with an inflation-adjusted remix of ‘Espresso,’ before introducing Pedro Pascal as Matt’s ghost of the past, a wedding-crasher fling. While the whole skit was a fever dream of comedy gold, Carpenter and Pascal’s crash-landing stole the spotlight.
