Despite the musician making headlines every next day, US President Joe Biden got confused with her name during the Thanksgiving dinner at the White House.

US President Joe Biden mistakenly refers to Taylor Swift with another name

On Monday, US President Joe Biden took the stage to give a speech for Thanksgiving at the White House. While speaking about the annual tradition, he discussed the journey of the pardoned turkeys, Liberty, and Bell, noting their travel of over a thousand miles. He jokingly compared this difficulty with getting concert tickets at Taylor Swift’s concerts. “You could say it was even harder than getting a ticket to the Renaissance tour for Britney’s tour,” said the 81-year-old.

He also addressed the high temperature her Eras Tour has been facing in Brazil. The high temperature even led to the death of one of the Grammy winner’s fans, leading to the postponement of her concert. Biden apparently was confused between two blonde pop stars and took the name of Princess of Pop instead of hers. Though the Scranton-born politician mixed up their names mistakenly, these two singers do have several things in common.

Only last week Spears revealed an unexpected connection to a teenage Swift through her Instagram.

On November 12, Britney Spears turned to her Instagram to share snaps with the Grammy-winning star in 2003 and 2008. In the caption, she recalled the time when she introduced the ‘Lovers’ singer during her own Oops!… I Did It Again world tour. “This is way back when but kinda cool,” began the ‘Criminal’ songstress. She added they both met when she “got a knock at [her] door” backstage while on tour.

In this post, the 41-year-old also confessed to having a crush on the sensational superstar and loved her enchanting voice. Well, less did the American musician know Swift would become so popular that she would have towns named after her and even the president of America referring to her to make jokes.
