All the Swifties and Marvel aficionados are collectively hoping Taylor Swift will finally make her much-anticipated debut in the MCU. And all signs are currently pointing to it happening soon enough. However, it might not turn out the way fans had been picturing. Ever since this new union between the pop star and Marvel studio popped into fans' heads, they could not think about any other character but Dazzler. After all, Swift ticks all the right boxes to bring Alison Blaire to life on the big screen.

It seems, however, that Marvel has a different strategy for making the speculated entry of Taylor Swift into the franchise see the light of day.

There have been several clues so far regarding Taylor Swift playing Dazzler in the MCU, and some of them were dropped by the pop star herself. However, according to a recent report from Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman, the Grammy-winning singer is in talks to take on the role of Blonde Phantom in the MCU, with a series already in the works for Disney+. This news came right after the same insider informed about a meeting between Swift and Marvel boss, Kevin Feige.

As per the report, Taylor Swift had a quiet meeting with Feige, away from the prying eyes of the media, to discuss a role in the Marvel universe. She had a “good meeting with Kevin Feige, and they are discussing a role in the MCU,” said Richtman. Although neither the meeting nor the role's identity has been made public, fans' anticipation went through the roof as soon as the rumor began to spread. While Blonde Phantom might be Swift's official entry into the MCU, there is another project at Marvel that too may have something to do with her.

A new comic series is also under development, which has fans thoroughly convinced about Taylor Swift’s character in the MCU.

Last week, Marvel Comics announced the development of another comic series, titled DAZZLER. Crafted by Jason Loo and illustrated by Rafael Loureiro, this series promised to take readers on Dazzler's world tour following the downfall of Krakoa. Marvel also stated that readers can expect exclusive song lyrics from Alison Blaire's personal notebook in each issue. While teasing the audience to prepare themselves for "some new, original songs", writer Jason Loo dropped a cryptic hint. 

Jason Loo said, "Some of them may be about her exes". It does not take a genius to figure out who else is notorious for crafting music about their past flames. Combined with Taylor Swift's successful musical world tour, along the lines of the trajectory of the DAZZLER comics, it seems like a match written in the stars. Nevertheless, the confirmation of whether she will play Dazzler or Blonde Phantom in the MCU is still a well-guarded secret.
